Saturday 30th August:Â
Since the canal at Capels Mill is a tad short of water the group reconvened at the lock Keepers car park in Purton. The 10 of us paddled against the wind, past the Gruffalo and his mates, a family of swans, and moor hens. We discovered a large pond where we disturbed a heron. We took the opportunity of this space to play games before continuing our journey down to the old railway bridge and back again. A very pleasant paddle was had by all.
